This limited-edition Chardonnay from our Gill Creek Ranch vineyard is our very first to be barrel fermented, aged and stirred sur lie in 50% new French oak for 18 months, yielding an abundance of beautiful cascading floral aromatics. This creamy nectar is a harmonious blending of mouth-watering Crenshaw melon and crisp green apple with a touch of lime, finishing with caramelized toasted vanilla oak, walnut and wild banana. 330 cases. The classic Rhone varietals of 73% Viognier, 26% Roussanne, and 1% Marsanne fuse together to produce distinctive, tantalizing aromas of an amazing honeydew melon with almond and a twist of pineapple. Thick layers of peach pineapple and toasted almonds envelope the mouth, echoing for what seems like minutes before the final tones of oak and anise spice. Deep ruby color, brilliantly clear. In the nose there are powerful aromas of ripe blackberries, combined with a touch of vanilla from the oak. In the mouth, plum notes and a mouth-coating molasses mid-palate finish with complex nuances of walnut, cedar and spicy anise. This is a beautiful wine for grilled or barbecued meats, but also works wonderfully with rich cheeses or on its own as a final contemplative wine at the end of a wonderful day.

You’ll find a purity of bold, focused flavors of concentrated blackberry jam and crème de cassis with toasted oak, and a very long rich and spicy black licorice finish. Limit 6 bottles per person.
